East West MRT Line

East West Line, or commonly known as the Green Line, is Singapore's 2nd MRT line built in the 1980s. It connects the eastern and western parts of Singapore, with a delibrate turn into the CBD, so that Singaporeans can ride the trains home from the CBD area within less than an hour.

The East West Line had 2 major revampments since its establishment. The first one was the building of Dover Station which provides better accesibility to residents living in the Dover area, and students from the Singapore Polytechnic. The second being the Changi Airport extension, which links Changi Aiport to the Central Area of Singapore.

An upcoming extension in the west, known as the Boon Lay Extension, will serve residents living beyond the current East West Line.
